For you people who don't like writing, stop reading now. This week's topic is writing prompts. We are doing as many as we please. I pretty much gonna jump right in this week. :)
1) Pretend your're in in your 60's, 70's, or 80's. Complain about kids these days.
2) Is you could pick one mentor - living or dead, fictional or real - to train you to be like him or her who would you choose? (If they are from a book tell which book.) Why would you choose that person? Describe the training process.
3) Describe a day in class from the teachers point of view.
4) Re-tell a classic story from the point of view of another character. (Ex: Cinderella from the step mother's point of view.)
5) You find yourself in front of 7 identical doors. A voice from above tells you "These seven doors lead to seven different places: Narnia, Neverland, Wonderland, Hodwarts, Camelot, Middle Earth, and Westeros." Which door do you go through? Why that door? What happens?
6) Which would be the cooler place to live? A castle or a tree house? Which do you choose and why?
7) Dorothy and Alice get in an argument about who has had a more interesting life. Narrate that argument.
8) Make a list of alphabetical advice. (Ex: A-accept differences, ect.)
9) In this world sharks swim in the woods. Somehow you find yourself lost in the woods.
10) If you got to make one book required reading for everyone on the planet, what would you choose and why?
11) If people had YouTube in 1912 what do you think they'd be posting videos of?
12) You got a set of magical sidewalk chalk. Anything you draw comes to life. Either describe what you would do with the chalk or create a list of rules for using the chalk.
13) If you could have any fictional character as a best friend, who would you choose? Why? What would that be like?
14) Write a page from the book How to Survive a Boring Class
15) What apps should be standard on a magical smart phone? Why? What would you use them for? What would the apps do?
16) If you were forced to spend the rest of your life in a library, a museum or a zoo, which would you choose and why?
17) Do you want a rewind button or a pause button in your life? Why?
18) Write a story of a child's party from the point of view of a pinata.
19) Describe each day of the week as if it were a person.
20) If you could have any two famous people for your parents who would you have and why?
21) Write a guide for undercover deputies who are trying to fit in at your school/workplace.
22) Tell a story using only Google searches.
23) He pointed toward the opening in the tree. "I'm sure you'll be pleased. It's surprisingly large once you're inside." Finish this story.
24) Explain the image.
25) Design a tiny island that would be the perfect escape for you for a few days.
26) Tell the story of Halloween from the perspective of a piece of candy.
27) Describe your room from the point of view of a stuffed animal who comes to life whenever you leave.

29) Have two characters from different books go on a blind date. Describe their date.
30) Tell the story of a Disney princess. Only one change: the princess is now a hipster.
31) Create the ideal fictional world. Borrow elements from your favorite fictional worlds to make it.
32) You get a set of minions for a week. (A set of minions = 12 minions) What are there names? What do each of them do for you? Why?
33) Your antagonist (bad guy) and protagonist (good guy) wake up in an abandoned warehouse with no memory of who they are or how they got there.
34) Put your iPod/ music player (whatever you have) on shuffle. Use the first song that plays to write a story.
35) What would a magical camera do? What would you use it for?
36) Explain Christmas to a young pine tree.
37) You have 24 hours where you were totally indestructible and could feel no pain, what do you do?
38) Include this line in your story. "But, if anyone asks tell them we're fine"
39) You accidentally went into a Monsters Inc. door. What do you do?
40) Create a blog post from a character in the book you are currently reading. Include the blog title and the post title. Also have the character sign off. (Like Blueberry and I do. But with there real name.)
41) Write a story about this picture.
42) Pic a horrible scene from a book/ movie. The scene could be horrible because it's just bad or horrible because it didn't go the way you wanted it to. Re-write it to make good.
43) Why was there a secret door in the back of her closet? Why had it just opened? What could possibly be down the steps? (Tell this story)
44) You were given a free wish but you had to wish something for someone else. Who and what do you wish for?
45) Write a story where the character falls in love with the reader.
